The deadly Follies of Stick Figure Walking man.

You know those warning signs you always see with the stick man falling down or being crushed or otherwise incurring bodily harm? That's me. I posed for those pictures.

My entire purpose in life is getting hurt so we can put up signs to protect people who are stupid and/or illiterate. Is it really worth it to go through all this pain and humiliation just to ensure the safety of someone who doesn't realize that if they stand under a parking garage gate long enough it will eventually hit them in the head.

The shiznit...

Over the last few days, I've discovered a few things that are so cool, I just have to share a them with the rest of the world (or at least the few visitors to this site ;)). You might know about some of these things already, but if you haven't, hopefully you do in fact check them out - they really are incredibly cool...

Band: Something Corporate For a fair while Jebediah and The Jealous sound have been my two favourite bands by far, but I'm starting to think that Something Corporate may well have topped them both (breaking with my long tradition of liking bands that start with "J"). I haven't got as many of their songs as I have of the other two previously mentioned bands, but the songs I do have are simply fantastic. They have such a great range of music, from hard indie sounds to sprawling ballads, this band has it all. Check them out, you won't regret it.

Browser: Firebird OK, so pretty much everyone already knows about this browser, and most people who use IE have their reasons that they don't want to switch. But personally, I made the switch today and it's just amazing how much better things are. It has bookmarks with variables, a simple yet powerful interface, and is way more stable and secure than IE. Plus, it has a huge range of add-ons that are so easy to install (and then uninstall if you decide you don't like them).

Web Navigation: Stumble-Upon This is just flat-out one of the best ideas the web has ever seen. We all know that the internet is too huge to see it all, and that the good stuff is incredibly hard to find, especially if you don't know what you're looking for. With Stumble-Upon, you click a button which takes you to a page in its database that other users have suggested. As you rate pages, it links you with other users who like the same sorts of stuff as you, so that in the future the pages it takes you to are more likely to be interesting to you. A fantastic way to explore the many wonderful things on the net...

Photography find

Simply stunning photography. I suspect this guy uses some sort of Dynamic-Range compresion method, cos those exposure levels look way too perfect for a single exposure... That's not a bad thing though, I just wish I could do it ;)

Whackiest warning labels ever

You've all read some really dumb instructions and warnings on various produts, such as "If you do not understand, or cannot read, all directions, cautions and warnings, do not use this product." This year's winners, as well as past years' can be found right here.
