Tell me, what do you get when you mix the game minesweeper with some sort of escapee and of course the mandatory kittens? Not to mention very nice graphics (quite gory for a flash game) and horribly suspenseful waits while you test out each new block and wonder if your character is going to lose another limb. Its fun, its simple but it's also damn hard. At least you get three "lives" (they're actually limbs but either way...), or else it could well be impossible. And remember to use your kittens wisely, for if you spare their lives, you might lose your own... Needless to say I'm quite impressed with this game, so without further adieu, here it is. Oh, and here's another decent game by the same guy. In case you were wondering just why I am blogging at three o'clock in the morning, I was actually waiting for illustrator to finish blurring a few paths for me. I say a few, although there are probably over 100 paths that I had selected when I told it to get to work. I just wanted to see how it looked, I didn't expect to have to wait nearly three hours and have it still not working. Oh well, I guess I'll just kill it and lose whatever changes I had made :/ One thing that really pisses me off is the "stop" button that appears on the little window that tells you it's doing something that could take a while. I have been stuck in this situation many times, and have looked to the stop button as a possible escape from my waiting woes. But guess what the stop button does? It sure as hell doesn't stop anything, that's for sure. I guess the good folks at adobe just wanted a button for frustrated users to take their anger out on, regardless of weather or not it actually does anything...

Think Ahead is annoyingly hard to beat, you gotta think a bit too far ahead for my liking :/

Some people who know me also know that I'm somewhat of a circus freak. I juggle, I fire twirl, I even own (and ride of course) my own unicycle. So now I sure as hell know what I want for christmas: Bombardier's EMBRIO is the ultamite unicycle. It's pretty much a motorbike with only one wheel. Now normally this would be quite suicidal, but thanks to gyroscopes and other sensory technology, this wonderfully designed machine should be pretty stable. Cool to ride, and damn cool in general. But I still don't think I could ever feel safe hurtling along the roads with only one wheel under me... BTW, here's the official press release (but the first link is cooler).

As a big fan of BodyTag, I am pretty impressed by the latest addition: Mixed Reality Artwork.

Basically they have used a camera and headgear setup to identify a specific shape (from any angle) in order to project a 3D image over the real footage, in realtime. The videos on the site are pretty impressive by themselves - especially the Initial Idea (Quicktime, 7.1MB) - but I would really love to see this in person...

I can't make much sense of it, it seems to be part japanese and part english - but it sure looks cool ;D

I haven't tried the actions yet, but if the samples on that page are anything to go by then I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a very useful tool to have...

Found this game over at the dyson website (link is to the hard levels, you should probably start on the easier ones first). I'm up to level 7 at the moment...

*update* I've now completed all levels in grand master, and got par in all easy, medium and transporter levels. I really should be doing some work...

I just discovered that Google has implemented a Calculator feature into its regular web searching feature. This is a good thing. Now, when you need to quickly find out Sin(2pi/8), you simply turn to your favourite search engine. Or if you need to find out what 2km in miles is, just plug that in too.

And it's more than just a calculator, it knows stuff... Spooky... So, When you get that itching to find out what the speed of light in mm/hour is, or how about the good ol' gravitational constant? Look no further, for google is here.

But you know the coolest thing of all? It knows stuff that we mere mortals can only glimpse upon. It knows The answer to life, the universe and everything... Now that's cool.
